Need a good mattress protector

Anyone know of a good mattress protector for a king size bed? I have bought several over the yrs and they always end up with the plastic on the underside cracking and then they don't serve the purpose.

We have 2 cosleepers so it really needs washed every/everyother time we wash the bedding. I don't want to spend a ton, but do they make ones that actually hold up for yrs?

not really a place where you can buy one but do you have a store locally that sells medical equipment or does laundry for nursing homes/hospitals?

I ask because we had the same problem until I bought a professional mattress protector from a laundry service (they do diapers/nursing home laundry sheets/and such) any way they are meant for "industrial" washings and have a rubber backing and felt on top I would say they look similar to chux pads used in hospitals but way larger to fit normal sized beds (we got a queen). I ended up placing it under a cheaper mattress protector that was all fabric. It was a little expensive I say $80 for a queen but considering how much our mattress was it its well worth it.
