Before DS2 was born I was working at a Montessori school for about 27 hours a week and DS1 was attending there while I worked. I've been home this year, but have been asked to come back to my job. I'm torn. I just go DS1 into a Montessori School that we can afford that is closer to home- the school where I was working was about a 45 minute+ commute in the morning. DS2 will be just old enough to go to the toddler program at my old school (15 months). I know it's a personal decision, but I just can't decide! Part of me feels like I'd love to be back at work, but I also like being home with the boys. If I went back, the situation would probably be full-time, or 35 hours a week.
We're also not sure if we want a third child- well I'm not sure. DH is open to it either way, but he said he's happy just having two. I don't want to go back to work and then feel like I'd want to take another year off if we had another one. The school used to have an infant program, but closed it down.
Maybe I should ask them if I can come back in the fall of 2011 instead? I know I'd like to work once the boys are both a little older anyway, and I guess I just don't want to miss the boat with this job, an arts position which is hard to come by. And the boys could come to the school at a deeply discounted rate- through elementary school. Sorry if this is just rambling, I just had to get it out of my head! What is it like working while tending to the household of four people?
