Really I know what it's like to not want to spend a whole lot of money... but it's really quite worth it for the peace of mind of a good test at this point. If you get a line on a FRER, chances are you'll get a yes+ on a FRER digital. Then you'll know for sure.

Demeter--I just bought a three-pack of FRER. I haven't peed since 11:00 this morning, so I'm trying to give it another hour to make it fours. That's about the same as FMU, right?

Dollar Tree tests and the OPKs are great-I'm holding the 7 month old to prove it. They are a good deeal for those TTC who don't want to waste money on FRERs-I know after a few months those guys are spendy.

I got a faint BFP with DS the day I missed AF, but I was on a no test promise to myself, so I waited until the day I normally would get AF.

I always had better results when I used something that wasnt FMU, to be honest... but that might just be me. I'm anxious to hear your update!

I took an FRER this am and it was neg. I have two left, and should definitely get a pos by monday if i am pg. If i don't, i'll probably test with the $tree tests until af starts, but i'm not spending any more money this cycle! i got some cheap FRER on ebay yesterday for next cycle.

To update:

The after-the-time-limit pink line and the just-barely-a-shadow-of-pink line I had on $tree tests this week at 13 & 15 DPO turned out to be a very-dark line on a FRER at 17DPO today. I wouldn't cal the $tree tests BFPs, but they were hinting at something, at least!

congrats, hopefuljo! Question: was the after-the-time-limit line there permanently, or did it show up and then disappear? Asking for personal reasons (yes, I am probably dealing with an evap)

I had a similar experience this time with the $tree tests! It was weird... I looked at one after the timeline and there was definitely a strange line but I wrote it off. Then I saw just the vague shadow of a line in the time limit but still not what I would consider a true bfp, that's when I decided to test with a FRER.

Tear, for me the line was there permanently. I know they say don't trust lines after the time limit and I normally do not but I know when I saw it that was when I made the decision to get a good test. Let me tell you, though, hahah I didn't believe it even after I took a ton of tests. I think the first 2 weeks of this pregnancy I tested and tested and tested some more. My husband thought that I had quite literally lost my mind.

The after-the-time-limit line seemed to be there permanently, and, more importantly probably, seemed to be pink rather than a gray or "shadow" evap line.
