Should I Stop the Solids?

Our DD is 8 months old and LOVES solids. We started pretty slowly at a little over 6 months and from the start she was in heaven. She has loved everything we have given her. We BLW and I didn't expect she would really get much down, but she does. She only has two little bottom teeth, but can chew almost anything.

Anyway, I have noticed in the past week or so that she is not as interested in nursing. She is very easily distracted and only nurses for short periods of time. There are days that we will only nurse (mostly becuase it is easier for me ) and she still nurses throughout the night, but more and more she wants to be involved with our eating and she gets so happy when she is trying new flavors. She still does get the majority of her food through BFing.

I am concerned because I really want to nurse for at least a year. Actually I would love to go longer, but I don't know if she would even want to . I am worried my supply will drop. Is this just the normal progression? Should we cool it with the solids?

One piece of advice I've seen here is to always breastfeed first... then offer solids. That might help!

Thanks! I have seen this in the past and do try to before every "meal", but she is a snacker and always has been, so she will still eat. I don't know that I have ever really seen her full and refuse food (except for the breast of course ). Maybe that's the advice I should be asking, how to get her to nurse longer?
Thanks again!
