Best probiotics for cats?

Thread Starter
My cat is currently on antibiotics to prevent infection from a serious injury that he needed surgery for.

I recently had to take antibiotics for mastitis (who would have thought you could get it in pregnancy! lol)...and am taking probiotics for myself....so it makes sense to me that my cat could benefit from some probiotics too... Just, not being a cat or having given a cat probiotics before - I don't know what to look out for (like I do myself!).

Any suggestions?

TIA

I would look up what probiotics are sold for cats, and try to match it with products you may have. I don't know if it would be ok for cats, but I have given my dogs some LIFEWAY kefir mixed in with the food.Gave it to my chickens too.Could probably give with a syringe. That kefir has 10 probiotics in it.

Speedy healing for you both!
