iron supplement after blood loss

I'm recovering from a miscarriage with excessive blood loss. The doc told my my hemoglobin is now low (108, whatever that means) and I should get iron supplements and take them twice a day. I should have asked more questions...
I have PNV with 27 mg of iron. Should I buy something else? Eat liver every night?
Thanks for any advice, mamas.

What form of iron is it? ferrous bis-glycinate seems to be very good in terms of being absorbed well and not causing constipation or other unpleasant side effects.

I used a product called anemia guard by Perque--try naturamart.com, they have some Perque products, it's that form of iron plus copper and B12, maybe another B-vit? It was a short list of nutrients that are all needed to make red blood cells.

Liver's great, if you like it, I'd eat a ton of it. I just started eating small amounts (little cubes I swallow, cause I never acquired the taste) and so far, I'm a fan (of the effect, still not the flavor).

Thanks, I'll check that out.

I craved liver after the birth of my first baby. I had a hemorrhage, so liver would be my first pick. Organic, preferably.
Floradix is supposed to be a good, natural supplement, but I've never used it.
Hope you recover quickly!

I use a non constipating iron supplement, 100 mg a day but I take half in the morning, half at night so as to not overload my system. I also take a fiber supplement and my doctor said to take B vit and folic acid too. My iron volume is low too..you are supposed to have 12 somthing and I was at 9.2 so he told me to take all those daily.
