This baby feels big to me - I grow them big so it isn't a surprise, but I look in the mirror and I'm shocked at MYSELF! Being #5, that worries me a little. They've all come late (between 6-13 days after my DD) and ranged from 8lbs 9z to 9 lbs 12 oz. The question is, being that this is my first BOY...will he surpass 10 lbs?? I'm afraid to dwell to long on that one...I would actually be shocked & delighted with a baby under 9 lbs assuming all is healthy of course! LOL

Huh. Do boy babies tend to be heaver than girls or the other way around?

DD1 was induced at 39 weeks she was 5 1/2 pounds. DS1 was induced at 42 weeks and he was 6 1/2 pounds DS2 came on his own on the night before a scheduled induction at 41 weeks he was 7pds 12oz..if I am following a pattern here this one will be 8-8 1/2 pounds. I am really tiny though, and my husband is skinny as well so my guess is 6-7 pounds..I think thats why I bake longer, more time for baby to get fat in there!

I think all things considered boys are often a little bigger. But that might not apply since I have had 4 kiddos already. I realise this little guy might hit 10 lbs but I'm trying to deny it all the same. I'd be totally thrilled to be shocked with him coming before his due date and being a little smaller! :P I can make wishes, right?? Even if they are highly unlikely?! LOL

If I go at 39 weeks (+/- 1/2 lb each week before and after), I predict he will be 8 lbs 6 oz.

This is my first so I have no basis for my guess- I was sure that it would be a pretty average 7.5 or so but after the way a friend told me I am HUGE (in a good way) I am suddenly suspicious that I could have a 9 pounder in there! The baby actually feels pretty small to me when I squish it, maybe tall with chubby thighs, but what do I know!? Everybody was guessing pretty heavy I think (at the pool at work) based on my size I guess. I think I was born under 8 lbs but tall and skinny and I am tall-ish and not skinny now especially with this 50 pounds of ALL BABY

Hmmm..

DS1 was 7.7pds and DS2 was 8.8pds.....My guess is 9.9pds! LOL

I am thinking that this one will be in the 9's- maybe upper 9's.

If I go to 40 wks, probably 9 1/2 -10 lbs. I usually grow 'em big. My last was 6 days early and he was 9 lbs 8 oz. The one before that was 2 days over due, and she was 10 lbs 2 oz. we'll see!

I feel bigger than with #2, and I'm smaller than with #1, so I'm guessing somewhere in the middle.

DS1 was a big baby born exactly at 40 weeks he was 9lb9oz!

If I go to 40 weeks this this little boy, I forecast over 10lb. Not to thrilled about this prospect, I have to say...

My other babies have all been 6 1/2 lbs or under, but I'm really really hoping to get a fat, roly poly, baby this time.
What I think I'll get = 7 lbs, at the most
What I HOPE I'll get = 8 1/2 - 9 lbs

ETA: This is if I have her at 40 weeks anyway.
My first dd was 40+4 and was 6 lbs 8 oz. My triplets were 36+4 and were 5 lbs 4 oz, 5 lbs 3 oz, and 4 lbs 13 oz. I'm thinking my uterus has more growing room this time and the baby did measure in the 60th percentile at the 20 week ultrasound (though, we all know how accurate those are).

I'm thinking this baby just feels a good bit smaller than my girls, so now I'm thinking only around 9 lbs. I went out and got a few newborn sized sleepers just in case this one does come out small, since most of my other stuff starts at 0-3 months.
