sensitive to rice?

Could this be possible?
I've been trying to track down the sensitivity that's causing bloody, mucousy stools in my 2 month old DS for almost a month now.
First I cut out dairy and soy- no improvement.
Then also omitted all legumes and wheat/gluten- no improvement.
Now avoiding:
dairy
soy
corn
wheat
gluten
chocolate
citrus
tomatoes
nuts
peanuts
fish
shellfish
coconut
eggs

Needless to say I'm eating tons of rice (my only grain). It's been 5 days... and the poops are looking WORSE. Could this be?
I'm seriously considering a TED... how do I know when to take the plunge?

TIA,
Lisa

Yep, totally possible.

ANY food can cause ANY reaction. My DS is sensitive to rice as well. What about switching to buckwheat (not related to wheat in any way) or quinoa or millet? If you want a grain in there. Are you keeping a food journal?

Totally possible....its the very first food we fed my DS and the very first food he reacted to!! He still cannot have rice. If you didn't see any improvement at all by eliminating the other foods, then I would add them back in one at a time to make sure and remove the rice from your diet and see if that helps.

Thanks, that makes me feel less crazy... I'm going to go ahead and do a total elimination (subbing sweet potato for rice), 'cause I really want to see improvement soon. The only time in the last 4 weeks I felt things were getting better was during Passover, so it could be some grain or rice that he's reacting to. I feel like I wasted so much time already... eliminating this and that without really getting clear results.

We're leaving Saturday for a week with my parents... it will be hard, socially, not to eat what everyone else is eating, but at least I'll have my mom cooking whatever I need her to.

Oh, and yes, I've been keeping a journal, but haven't been able to correlate food to poop, because I have no idea how long the interval might be, and because his poor gut must be so irritated, even if I removed the offending food, I know it might take a few days to see improvement, right? But I'll keep it up, and maybe be able to see changes as I go along.
