Squeeeeee! Community garden!

So.

I JUST realized that my town has a community garden plot. As far as I can tell, it was never advertised or anything. I called right away thinking all the plots would be spoken for but there are three available.

And.

The are 20x25!!!

I am so excited. Up until...20 min ago I was going to just have a few pots around our very shade yard. Now I'm thinking of big raised beds and fruit bushes and... I don't even know where to start!

What would you do with a 20x25' space for gardening? I've never had this much land to work with.

How Cool! Have fun!

Wow 20x25 is huge! I have no idea what I'd do w/ that much space. Right now I have 3 raised beds (1 3x3 bed and 2 2x2 beds) I have 8 tomato plants, 2 bell peppers, 2 jalapenos, 1 gypsy pepper, 4 strawberries in the beds. Then I have thyme, mint, and parsley in 12 inch pots.

Hooray - Congratulations! You'll fill it up, no problem, I'm sure.

My community is just starting a new community garden this year, and I rented a half plot (10 x 20). It looked so large when I first signed up ( I currently have 4 4x8 beds, so it doubles my gardening space), but now that I have my seeds in hand, I'm kind of wishing I'd gotten a full 20x 20. Ours is probationary this year (the church that leant the land will vote after the season is over whether to continue the arrangement or not), so I'm not going to do perennials yet this year, but I hope to put in an asparagus patch next year if everything works out.
