Recommendations?

Hi!
Can anyone recommend a show for me and my husband to watch after the kids are asleep? We don't have cable and just watch online at hulu or wherever else we can find it! We love Weeds, Mad Men and the Office. We really want a new show to get addicted too, one that has already had lots of seasons would be great too!
Any suggestions??
Thanks!

We watch very little TV around here but I liked:

John Adams (min-series) was very good!!!

I also really like Mad Men, Weeds and the Office. But our favorite shows are Lost and the Wire--really well-written, very gripping/addictive, and lots of seasons to watch. Also really liked Six Feet Under. If you're looking for something lighter, Californication is funny (though I do have a soft spot for David Duchovny). We had fun watching Battlestar Galactica (I was surprised, I'm not a Star Trek person), but it's not as high quality as the Wire.

I'm going to second LOST We like How I Met Your Mother, but I don't know if it's on Hulu. Big Bang Theory is a good one too. The first season of Heroes is worth checking out, and if you find you really like it the second and third seasons are okay.

We like Fringe and Doctor Who

My dd wanted to watch Doctor Who (she is nine which IMO is an ok age for that show IMO) as well so we got her all caught up via the dvds at the library

Dexter!!!!!!!

It might just be my favorite series ever. It's available on Netflix instant play.

I second Dexter!!! I also love Nurse Jackie (sarcastic drug addicted nurse, and nothing like House) and the Tudors (nekkid Jonathon Rhys Meyers as King Henry VIII)

I love the newer Battlestar Galactica series. It's very entertaining and well-written.

LOST is good too, but it can make you want to pull out your hair. They introduce more mysteries and questions than they can answer. But it is a good ride if you just try to enjoy it and not analyze it too much.

My husband and I don't usually share many of the same shows, but lately we've been following a few (and after so many years of nothing much, it feels like we're suddenly watching lots of tv!):

Castle
Leverage
The Office
Community
Parks and Rec
until VDO and KE left, we really liked Law&Order: Criminal Intent, if you've never watched, the reruns are on ALL the time.

Oh yes, I was also watching that. It is pretty good. It is Caprica.

I have also been watching Stargate Universe but it isn't really holding my attention. The characters all annoy me and I don't like too much drama in my Sci Fi. (unless it is BSG )

I looove chopped. Also like scrubs (earlier seasons), and find battlestar galactica just hilarious!
We went through a phase of watching LOST too. We really enjoyed it, but it's frustrating because you never know what in the heck is going on.

I'm finding it funny to see so many people watch Dexter. I decided I hated it because my SFIL watches it at innappropriate times. (like when my 3 and 1yos are in the room). I will have to check it out sometime because of all the recommends
