First of all because you're an awesome mommy and by far one of my most inspirational homeschooling families.

Secondly...I'm not having twins but I am having #5 and I am barely making it right now with 4 homeschooling. So I'm in the freakout section, too. I have also thought about Time4learning.com or finding something similar for them to do. We are mostly Charlotte Mason inspired right now. We go back and forth with unschooling and waldorf but I do pick books and subjects to talk about and we read most of the Mater Amablis selections together. My kids mostly do science and math and handwriting by themselves. I think next year it will mostly be a workbox system for things like math, handwriting, their Brainquest grade workbooks (they picked out-I don't get it...) and such that they like to work on so I know they're doing something when my OCD kicks in hardcore and I can't do much of anything. Other than that, we'll just read tons and tons of library books.

So... just an update.

I am feeling a billion times better. Which means that, while I still feel like I've been riding a tilt-a-whirl most of the time and need a nap by 2, I am feeling no where near as freaked out and overwhelmed as I was 6 weeks ago. I think we're going to be OK. I don't know how Waldorf we'll be-- I have the Learn at Home books for my kids and Story of the World for Michael-- but I'm OK with it. It's just for a season, and, as Donna Simmons says at the very beginning of her kindergarten book, homeschooling is, first and foremost, about relationships.

We're officially starting next week. We did give T4L a 3 week trial, but it just wasn't working for us. I have all my paperwork finished and I'm hoping we'll get 8 good weeks in this summer so we can take 2 months off when the babies come if we need to.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I honestly don't know what I would do without the mamas on this board!

Oh, also, we're putting our 3-year-old in the church preschool 3 mornings a week next year, assuming we can get his cute little tushie potty trained. I am shockingly OK with this decision. Excited even!
