I'm looking to get a couple good books with some good comprehensive ages and stages baby info.

...and perhaps of few on certain baby related topics.

Would love some recommendations!

The Baby Book by Sears is a really good, comprehensive guide to baby care.

I second The Baby Book. I also like The No-Cry Sleep Solution and The Happiest Baby on the Block. Beyond that, I didn't really read a lot of baby books.

I like the wonder weeks to learn about growth spurt. Dr. Sears Book is nice if your babe is average and if you stay at home.

The Natural Child by Jan Hunt is awesome and talks a lot about how babies are designed by nature to get their needs met, I loved it.

Treating Infants with Respect by Magda Gerber

Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn

These are my top three after reading tons of books for my masters and for the 14 years in child development.

Just finished Our Babies, Ourselves by Meredith Small. It was fantastic!

I firmly believe the only parenting book needed is "Raising Free Range Kids." It might also help to get the "Intuitive Parenting" book.

I've looked at those comprehensive books, but they just leave me stressed so I have stopped reading them.
