So I am expecting my second baby in July. With my son I used a moby ,a ring sling, and a mei tai from Japan (although I didn't know that was what it was called at the time.) I found that the straps cut in my hips when my son started to get big. This time I will use the moby and ring sling again when the baby is little but I would like to get a buckle mei tai with good padded straps on the hips so it is easy for both DH and I to use. I am not a huge fan of tying long straps in public. I also don't like the ergo due to its plain look. I love the baby hawk o snap and would like something similar but not 140$! any ideas? Thanks so much!

Check out the Connecta. I love it bc it's comfortable, mine is made of SW so it's great for the summer, it has a fantastic sleep hood, can be rolled easily to shorten the body for newborns, and has a lumbar support belt you can purchase separately to help support your LO's weight whe he/she gets older and heavier in a back carry.

Another one that I heard is awesome is by Babies Beyond Borders. I'm ordering a full buckle for my toddler. And they will even do a custom for you.

I have one from Two Momma's Design that I love. I got the 1/2 buckle, so it buckles around the waist, and the top has the long straps to wrap, but they offer full buckle or full MT also.

LOVE me some TMD carriers. You can't get a better price on a ssc, and the mommas are FAB to work with. Get in your order FAST though b/c they are going on vacation soon.
