3rd cycle in a month - pre-menopause?

I've always had very regular monthly cycles but today I'm starting bleeding again for the 3rd time in a month. Don't know yet if it's spotting or a regular flow, but at 45yo I could be pre-menopausal and hormones are goping crazy or anyone think it's more serious?

I think its probably perimenopause, and caused by low progesterone. I had similiar issues (I'm 46) and the western med doc said I could try birth control pills to regulate. My naturopath suggested Vitex. Actually I didn't do either and my cycles got back to normal after a couple months, but I'm sure I'll be seeing more of these wonky periods as time goes on.

Give it a couple cycles. If the bleeding isn't too heavy, you don't necessarily have to do anything. If it bothers you, you might try some herbs and stuff to see if that helps.

Thanks B.C. - I'll just see what happens....I'd rather not take anything so hopefully over the next month things will get back to normal...if there is a normal anymore!
