what are those symptoms of?

DS (5) has been complaining of his saliva being "too liquid"; sometimes "throws up a little in his mouth", and in the last month he woke up with a sore tummy 3 times, then threw up (mostly water) and then felt better.

During one of the episodes he had some fever, but not during the other 2.

I looked at symptoms of acid reflux, and he doesn't have the majority of the symptoms listed.

Are there any natural remedies that we can try?

Thanks!

ETA: Also, in the last two weeks he had an episode that lasted several days when he was at first peeing very frequently, and then had an urge to urinate, but nothing came out. Now this seems to be over. He had no pain or fever with that one. Not sure if this is related, but I thought I'd mention.

UTI?
still could be reflux/food intolerances
could be a virus-y thing
is he getting any molars or anything?

Maybe a food allergy or intolerance? Do you remember if he ate anything "different" those three times that he doesn't usually eat?

Sounds like a mild stomach virus. Does he have any severe food intolerances that you are aware of? Sometimes food intolerance can cause a fever but not usually.

The peeing is probably not related, maybe a UTI that cleared on it's own. If it is related, it probably has something to do with a food reaction. My kids pee a lot when they've been exposed to one of their allergens.

Best thing to do is to make sure he's eating as healthy as possible (no sugar). Maybe try some soothing herbal teas (chamomile, anise, licorice, slippery elm) and give him plenty of water. If he's not all better within a couple days, I would maybe consult your doctor.

Thank you!

He has no severe food intolerances (nothing that is obvious to us at least); he is mostly off sugar except occasional organic chocolate (not much). i'm going to track his chocolate intake better and see if it is related.

he probably has his molars coming, that's a thought!

he hasn't had an episode since I first posted.
