red sweater "bleeding" question

Thread Starter
I have a sweater that is red but it has a white collar and cuffs on the sleeve. It is machine washable and I've washed it numerous times (7 - 8 times) without incident. Last time I washed it the red coloring "bled" into the collar and cuffs and left them streaked pink. Does anyone have any suggestions on returning the collar to white? I know I could use bleach but I'm nervous it would run into the red part, especially since a lot of the pink is close to where the two colors/fabrics meet.
Thanks!

I might try something like oxyclean in cold water and if it comes out, try setting the red with vinegar

I'll say good luck. Red that has redeposited is nearly impossible to remove without bleach - and even then it might not budge. I dyed a whole load that way, and they're still pink.
