I'm almost done with the Outlander series (LOVED it) and need something else to start on. Any suggestions along the same line?

I think Sara Donati is somewhat similar. Outlander is my favorite series and I always have trouble once I'm done reading because everything else pales in comparison for me.

In the Outlandish Companion, Diana Gabaldon recommends a series by Suzanne Frank. I can't remember the names of any of the books, but I remember it being a fun series to follow. Time travel, romance, a bit of action and adventure.

As someone who is also a fan, I wouldn't want to read a seriest that is similar, because I'd always be comparing. What I would want is a series that would engage me the same way.

I really like Sarah Dunant's books. They are not a series, but are set in Renaissance Italy at about the same time. They are The Birth of Venus, In the Company of the Courtesan and Sacred Hearts.

also The Innocent, The Exiled, and The Uncrowned Queen by Posie Graeme-Evans

I love historical fiction and
Lilly Flora's reviews on Amazon are really great.

The Sarah Donati series is pretty good, but it's set in the same time period and would be really easy to compare with Outlander. I would wait a few months to start this one.

If you haven't read Jean Auel's Earth's Children series, then I would definitely recommend that.

I just finished reading a Paullina Simons book called The Bronze Horseman. It's set in WWII, but it reminded me of the Outlander series a little bit. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!
