She's a beauty! Congratulations! Welcome to off island:P

I had the exact same kind of labor!!! I didn't feel anything unbearable until the last hour when we broke my water. Now the last hour was intense but still I have some great shots of Rowena being born but I don't think I'd dare put them up!

My labor, though not painless, was fairly mild until that last hour as well. But oh man, it made up for it.

The labors that I had that were more challenging in the labor part there wasn't that clear demarkation between "labor" and "birth." Pushing felt more natural then.

I think when labor itself is really easy until you're pushing, the sudden acceleration from perfectly fine to "OH DEAR GOD, OWWWWWWWWWW!!!" will really throw you for a loop. I've had that a couple of times, and I completely relate to how awkward it can feel when people are waiting for you to have a baby and you have a fairly easy, manageable labor until the end.

Aww, I got teary when you were talking to Ada. I love the disbelief we all seem to experience when the baby finally emerges.

You can sure see a bit of Rosie in her.

What a beautiful video- thanks for sharing

Wow- I had the exact birth w/ my two- I only felt a tightness and didn't even know I was having contractions until ... my water broke and then crazy hard painful contractions and baby arrived in 45 minutes(1st babe) 25 m(2nd babe). But ya 1st babe I just freaked out to go from nothing to transition in a minute was HARD. Waiting til June to see how #3 comes.

Pepper, words can NOT describe the emotions I have watching that video. Not only was that hands down the most beautiful birth video I have ever seen, but honestly you are the most beautiful mama I have ever seen, your so serene and sweet and soft that I feel truly brought to tears by this video.

You and your husband are so amazing.

Thank you so much for allowing me to view your birth. This is one of those births that everyone should see, it brings out the true magic and mystery of our power as mothers.

I also want to add that you are a stunner! Holy Moly I wish I could look like that even when I am not pregnant.
