Natural, animal-free Prep H substitute?

Hi all,

Well, three weeks after the birth... I'm still pretty wrecked! My DH dug up a tube of Prep H for me to salve my bottom with but EW EW it has SHARK LIVER OIL in it! No way am I putting that on my tender tissues!

Any suggestions for a substitute? I'm using cool witch hazel compresses, which help in the short term, but I'd like something a bit longer lasting.

I suggest you try some homeopathic arnica, available in an external gel cream, and an internal lactose globule. I had reoccurring bleeding internal hemrrhoids afer childbirth, one dose of arnica internally forever resolved the issue for me.

There is also a homeopathic suppository ,ade I think by boiron that has calendula and witch hazel. Worked for me last time!
