Did I finally Ovulate?

Hi ladies,
My cycle has been way off this month.....
I am hopeful that I finally ovulated the other day. Signs appeared to be there (increased libido, EWCM) and I had a big dip in temp.
If you don't mind peeking at my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2dfb42 it would be a great help.....bear in mind I only started charting a few weeks ago.
Thanks!!

temp dip does not show ovulation, temp rise does... and you dont have a rise there so I would say no, it does not look like ovulation has happened yet

Unless the reason for the open circles are enough to have the temperatures considerably off... but even in that case the dip may not even exist...

May I ask what (if anything) you have tried to help it along?

I am on B-Complex and Maca. At the beginning of March I became ill with bronchitis for a couple weeks, so it may have thrown things off. My cycles, while usually long have been pretty regular.

From everything I have been reading...various sources including Take Control of Your Fertility...it is common to have a big dip just before ovulation.

The temps are not at the exact time. The solid circles are all at 5a and the open circles are at about 7a (except yesterday it was at 4a because we left on a trip at 5a).

Okay, that 2 hours should not throw off your temps enough to mask an ovulation.

It does happen that some women have a dip at ovulation (Im one of them... so I know it happens), but a dip is not an indicator of ovulation it is a speculatory sign (just like EWCM and increased libido) and when temping the only actual indicator that ovulation has happened is a sustained temp rise... your temps only rose back up to right around where they were before the dip.

So I would still say that no, ovulation does not seem to have happened yet.

May I ask how much B6 your complex has in it (each complex can have different amounts of each B vitamin... for example I had one at one time that was mostly B12 and very little of the others)

I would guess that when ovulation does happen for you your temp will rise above 36.4* (and possibly/likely higher) for about 2 weeks before either you get a BFP or AF.

(*this temp is only by looking at your current temps and does not apply to future cycles or if you slowly rise over the next few weeks to that becoming your norm... this would be a sudden or over a few days rise rather than a week or longer)

Thanks for your input
B6-50mg
Maca 750mg capsules (just increased to 4 a day up from 2/day)
Oh yeah plus my pre-natal (Materna) but it only has 1.9mg B6

Awesome that you are already taking that... I found it a lot easier to swallow through my morning sickness since I had already been taking it pre-pregnancy.

I really do not know what else to tell you... are you breastfeeding? If so, has the nursling been feeding a lot lately? Even with maca and b6 that can really hold off ovulation better than anything else can.
