i just started a mag oxide supp a few days ago and yesterday morning, i broke out in hives on my neck. they calmed down (i didnt attribute it to the supp) well, i took another mag sup yesterday afternoon around 3:30, and those earlier hives? well, that was nothing compared to the night/this morning - i broke out in itchy, big raised welts all over my legs. i freaked when i thought it was bug bites but thats highly unlikely. i did a search and there are other people who have had this reaction with mag. i am going to let this reaction calm down, then switch to a different form completely. in the meantime, ill take SA. not sure of dosage...anyone else ever have this reaction?? its itchy and yucky and looks awful!! id post pictures but id be afraid of the barf-a-thon that may ensue.

Yikes! Hives are nothing to mess around with. I would definitely make an appointment with an allergist and get an epipen. As you saw, each reaction can be worse. Especially since you don't know the exact cause of the reaction.
What kind of mag were you taking? Do you know what other ingredients were in it, and were any ingredients food-derived?
Vitamin C is definitely a good idea (I'm assuming that's what you mean by SA), and I would dose as much as you can! You can't take too much- once your body reaches it's saturation point, you will have loose stools. That will be your clue that you've taken enough.
But keep track of how much you take before that point, and then you can dose that same amount each day until the reaction subsides.
