Odd question-- what kind of water, if any, do you feed your LO?

Tap water, filtered water, bottled water?

We started feeding our DS solids a few weeks ago, and he keep spitting up.

We stopped the solids, but have just now been thinking that it could be an issue with the water that we started along side the solids. (because the puking didn't stop with the solids).

We drink tap water, we fed him tap water. . He had his last drop of water day before yesterday, and we are waiting to see an improvement. So.... is there a special water that I should be using instead?

We feed DS tap water also. I usually let it sit in his sippy cup without the lid on for awhile first so that it can off gas.

Unless there's something egregiously wrong with your tapwater, that should be fine. Bottled water is often just bottled tap water anyway.

Maybe he doesn't need to drink along with his meal? I wasn't giving DD1 drinks of anything but breastmilk until she was almost a year, if not past. Breastmilk (or formula, if that's what you're doing) should meet all his hydration needs.

We give our baby the same water we drink, which is reverse osmosis filtered water...our tap water tastes gross to me.

Formula fed babies DO need some water each day (I have babysat a few) Breastfed babies do not. You don't mention how old your child is but give the babies gut a week or so to clear out, you can't expect immediate improvement. Especially if something that you fed your son is an senstive/allergic item.

Ds refuses any thing but mama's milk (and only from mama)...and I have to teach/go to school two days a week. So when I'm gone my mom stays with him and he loves drinking water from a sippy cup, so we do that to keep him hydrated. We give him bottled water because our's tastes gross, and I'm usually not the picky. I realized how bad it was after I visited my aunt, who has well/rain water, came home, and took a shower in what smelled like a swimming pool! Gross!

We give DS filtered water. i'm very leery of tap water there's a lot of junk in that stuff! we only give him water once in a while. he doesn't drink it much anyway, just plays.

Us too. Just a personal preference.

But, I know plenty of people who drink their tap water & give it to their kids.

Our water company installed a little tap mounted filter thingie because we have lead service pipes. The water is safe, but as an extra precaution they say to use the filter for pregnant women and children under 5. So I filter the tap water, and then run it through the fridge Brita and we drink that.

If I need to boil water for something, I just use the tap filter.

Because formula does not vary like beastmilk does (watery in warm weather etc) So Ff babies can get dehydrated in hot weather, need extra fluid if constipated etc...
