Epi Kardia curriculum?

I did a search and not one thread came up on MDC about this curriculum.

Has anyone tried it? I'm just wondering if it's hugely Christian based. I know it uses the Charlotte Mason method, so it obviously has a Christian slant, but I'd like to know if it can be used in a secular manner?

TIA!

You could contact the author and ask. That said, on their site it says:

At Epi Kardia, we feel the heart of home education is the Christ-centered mentoring and discipling relationship between parents and their children.
Since their express goal is Christian mentoring I can't imagine this is going to be a good choice for someone who wants a secular literature based program. http://www.epikardia.com/1st%20Grade...ple%20week.pdf I looked at this sample of 1st grade lesson--all scripture or God based stuff.

However, I'm certain you can do CM secular. I found this yahoo group that I bet would be really helpful. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SecularCM/

Oh yes! We do CM secular-ly already. I just found this curriculum and I like how the lesson plans are already done for you. So I just thought I'd ask.

ETA: looked at the sample... I think you're right, the Christian perspective is built right into the curriculum. It would be difficult to separate that. Thanks!
