We had those feelings with our last baby. We didn't bond with her while pregnant. We didn't feel her move the whole time. We refused to make firm plans because honestly, we didn't know if there was a baby to make plans for. The midwife listened to the heartbeat at every appointment and said she was fine...

She was. She was perfectly healthy and we love her more than we could ever imagine. The bond came after she was born.

I have had one pgcy that I felt the same way you are describing. We lost him. But, most moms that I hear such stories from have positive outcomes. I do hope that is yours. It is reassuring that you heard a HB. Hopefully your MW visit will also put your fears to rest.
