fitted dipes w/out serger

Any good links on making diapers without a serger? Or any tips? All the diapers I have are serged, so I feel like serging is a big part of the process. ?????????

There are excellent directions on how to make a turned and topstiched diaper here:

The cuddlebuns pattern has instructions for turning and topstitching (not serging). The ones you buy are all serged, but I think the ones that aren't are pretty cute. It's a good basic pattern you can alter to do about anything.

You don't need a serger, you can just use an over lock stitich, or zigzag around the edges. It looks neater with a serger, but zigzag looks fine, is still soft and works great! It's much much faster than turning and topstitching, and will last just as long.

I turned and topstitched one of my CuddleWraps to see how it would look. It was such a PITA that I went back to sewing everything else with a basic overlock and trimming the fabric close to the stitching.

Another vote fore zig-zagging. And if you're lazy like me, all the extra threads will fall off within a few washings, lol.
