Do your BH contractions last for hours?

I can't remember this from my first pregnancy. I know I had Braxton Hicks contractions, but can't remember if they felt like this. I'm nearly 26 weeks and this has happened twice in the last week when I've been tense or physically active. My belly tightens up like a BH, but it lasts for hours. I've had this one since a hectic episode at work 4 hours ago. Normal? I can still feel the baby move, though less so than when my belly is relaxed, and if I make a conscious effort to sit and drink water, it does seem to improve.

try to make sure to drink more water before it happens, I got it bad with DD (she was due in early July and starting about this time of year I started getting dehydrated throwing me into strong BH and sending me to the hospital sometimes for an IV from dehydration)

I think mine might last hours if I didn't try to get rid of them. Some ideas:

Calcium and magnesium suppliments.
Lots of fluids.
Change positions.
Walk.
Lay down on your side.
Eat.
Try to go to the bathroom.
Take a warm bath.

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and this past week I've noticed a big difference
in BH. Just more frequent. They'll still go away and there's no rhyme or reason to them. I've read that babies can cause them with movements.

Thanks. I'm at 6 hours here. I just excused myself from dinner to go lay on my side. I'm also trying to drink lots of water. I was feeling nauseated as well, but feel better lying down.
