and I'm addicted to young adult paranormal romances.

There. I said it.

I don't know why I can't get enough of this genre. I blame it on being in in school for so long. Up until a few years ago I was being forced to read big books by grad school profs. Plus we homeschool so I'm always reading learnin' books. lol

It all started with Twilight and it's branching out from there. I love it. Don't judge!

Have you read any of Justine Larbalestier's books? Both "Liar" and the "Magic & Madness" trilogy were great.

And Catherine Jinks.

Huh, they're both Australian.

Anyway, those have been my favorite YA paranormal reads lately.

oops, forgot about Megan Whalen Turner. She's my favorite (the 4th book, "A Conspiracy of Kings" just came out in March).

And I also really liked Laini Taylor and Scott Westerfeld's "Leviathan".

Yay!! I had no idea - that's great news. Her Attolia series is wonderful. I wasn't expecting another for a long time. In the past she's taken her time between books. Thanks - I have to look for it.

I have read almost ever young adult novel by Christopher Pike, probably into my mid 20s. I have an entire collection in my basement.

I strongly suggest the Last Vampire Series. Thers like 6 books. The season of passage was awsome too, however it was is considered adult. Here is a list of all the ones I particularly liked:

The Remember Me trilogy
Fall into Darkness (Made-for-TV movie was made later)
Bury Me Deep
The Lost mind
Whisper of Death
The Tachyon Web
Spellbound
Gimme a Kiss
The Starlight Chrystal
The Wicked Heart

The list goes on. He wrote a TON! Also, the cold and the blind mirror are other adult novel he did that I really liked.

I've been reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton and enjoying it. I think I'm on book nine now. Before these, I read the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. I tend to get books from the library, but am tempted to buy the latest book in that series because the wait list is too long...

I am in the same boat. Ever since I started the Twilight Saga around this time last year I have been hooked! A part of me still feels apologetic about it. When people I know found out I liked Twilight, they responded with “I would not have thought you would have liked those kinds of books.”

I have always been an avid reader but preferred classics, historical or cultural literature. When I became a mom I got out of reading for awhile. I went through my phase reading only parenting books and anatomy and health books for my work. Now I work hard and have my family, which is the most wonderful thing in the world but takes my energy, so when I read, I just want to chill out and relax

I went on to Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse Series,
Patricia Briggs’s the Mercedes Thompson’s series
and am now reading the Newford series by Charles De Lint.

Those are adult books but I also enjoyed:
Holly Blacks Modern Faerie Tale Series
Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely
Kelly Armstrong’s Dark Powers (the Summoning and the Awakening third book is not out yet) and
Diana Wynne Jones’s Howl’s Moving Castle
all of which are YA.

I am definitely hooked on various types of Paranormal Fiction. I even started up this thread a while ago
