Update:
I went in this morning and spoke with the teacher who was the one that called me yesterday. I simply asked her what happened yesterday, what DS said to her, what she did, and who else was there. I completely believe her, and after her explanation, it goes along with what DS said to me, but with a few minor ommisions on DS's part, which I am 100% sure is simply because he is 3 and cannot tell me in great detail about exactly what happened.
She said that when he was scratching they asked him if he needed to go pee and he said no, but that his penis was itchy. After his nap, he actually complained that it was itchy and starting to hurt a little. It was at that point that the teacher took him into the bathroom with a second teacher (the other one that he mentioned to me) and looked at his penis, but didn't touch it at that point. He peed on the potty, and while he was peeing, the first teacher put her finger under the shaft of his penis to lift it up a bit (didn't touch the foreskin at all) and saw that his glans was peeking out through his foreskin, which freaked her out (redness that she wasn't expecting). It was at that point that they called me to report that it was itchy and red.
DS had said that two teachers looked "inside" his penis, which they sort of did. They saw the glans, which is inside his foreskin. He also pointed to the base of his penis when I asked him where they had touched him. I had assumed that it was them pulling from the base of his penis to retract him, but his teacher told me that she put one finger there to lift it up a bit to see if anything was on his penis that she could see. She had no idea that DS had told me where she had put her fingers, and she explained it as the exact same spot that DS had, so that was great that they both matched up.
She admitted that she had no experience with an intact penis, and was very nervous to hurt it, and didn't touch the foreskin at all, for fear of hurting him (hooray!). I explained to her that the adhesions were similar to a fingernail being attached to a finger, but that his adhesions would eventually all seperate and that he might feel some discomfort while it was happening, but it was totally normal, and he would be fine. I also told her that if anyone else moved the foreskin at all, that it could hurt him to the point of needing medical attention, but it was ok for him to do it so he would know when it hurt or not. I did say that he might have seperated it a bit accidentally with all of the scratching yesterday and maybe that is why it hurt some.
She was extremely open to what I was saying, and I felt like she learned a lot that hopefully will be passed on to any other intact boys that she may come into contact with. It did make me sad that most likely all of the other boys in his class are circ'd though.
Overall, a HUGE relief for me today!
