Lyme, babies, anxiety and books

Hi, I got lab test back today and I tested pos for Lyme disease. I'm sad about this, but so relieved to finally know what's been going on with me b/c I've been sick on and off for 5 years.

This week I've been battling with a lot of mental issues, including sleeplessness, paranoia anxiety and panic attacks at night. Can anyone give me some ideas how I can combat these issues? It's terrible, especially when I have a little baby who needs me. When the anxiety comes, it's like I don't even recognize myself.

I'm going on abx for one month. (I also have a nasty active Strep infection in my kidneys, as they tested me and I had a pos ASO--yes, it's been a rough week!) I will continue nursing, and I am hopeful this will work. I've had LD for over 5 years and had it go into remission without even knowing what I was fighting, so I'm confident I can and will get well.

For those mommas who were PG and nursing before realizing they had LD, did you get your baby blood tested for Lyme? Did you stop nursing for fear of giving Lyme bacteria to your baby?

Can anyone please share any books or resources you'd consider to be the Lyme Bible? There's so much hoopla on the net, my foggy brain can't handle it.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

I was bitten years ago and had no idea that what I was suffering through for years was lyme. I thought it was just me.

I found out I had lyme when I was pregnant with my son and got him tested after birth and he tested positive. He had so many food allergies like me and was a cranky mess for the first few months.

I chose not to use abx and used herbs instead. Check out www.ladybarbara.net for what I used.

Magnesium might also help the anxiety (it helps mine).

I'm waiting for my Lyme test results. And if I do have it, I don't know how long I've had it for, but I will probably test at least two of my kids for it.

Kathy, it is sure nice to know about lyme, as many food allergies are going away after dealing with lyme. I never thought I could eat potatoes again and feel great.
