VBAC info for letter to old ob/gyn

Thread Starter
I'm looking for some good quick info or printouts to send to my fired ob/gyn. I had my second baby by VBAC 6 months ago with a wonderful midwife. I had planned to write him a beautifully researched kiss-off letter after the birth, since he was not willing to consider VBAC (one that would make high school English teachers jump in glee and convince the most hardcore anti-VBACers at first read!). Anyway, 6 months later I am realizing that I may just need some quick printouts or facts to send him along with my letter because I just don't have the time to pour over my research the way that I did while I was pregnant (when I clung to every VBAC-friendly fact and article for dear life). Anybody have any favorites?

Honestly? He's made up his mind. You aren't going to convince him. That letter will make you feel better, but it's not going to affect him at all. If he was that firm about it, he's not going to change his mind because you write him an angry letter.

i agree with alexis, and yet i wrote a kiss off letter the mw's whose ob fired me and i felt sooo much better for having done it.

you dont need stat's, they know all the stats, they just choose to ignore them for various reasons. just remind the dr that he is in the service industry and was in your employ and since the service that he offered to provide you did not match your needs you simply foudn another service provider who could give you what you were paying for. let him know that you had a great birth (btw, congrats!) and thank him for making your decision so easy. i told my ex-mw's that if it wasnt for them firing me i may never have found the courage to plan an OOH birth, and i thanked them, albeit sarcastically.
