Surviving a growth spurt!

Hi all,

Just when things started to get much easier, my babies hit their 12 wk growth spurt. and oh boy! It's been two days of CRAZINESS, I feel like they are nursing constantly, and I need to run to use the bathroom or eat or whatever. I feel totally touched out, as well. Tandem nursing only helps sometimes, and often leads to ds crying when he is done and has a big burp (which for some reason, he doesn't like to be held while I'm sitting when that happens.)

In any case, gotta run, but any advice would be SO welcome! (Or if not advice, BTDT sympathies are also good!)

I'll offer sympathy. And a recommendation to try to make sure you are getting enough fluids and calories as their needs increase. You can set yourself up in a comfortable spot with the tv remote or a good book, with a drink and a snack and nurse the morning away.

I promise, it does get better. Or, more accurately, this will resolve, and they'll throw something new your way! Enjoy your babies. If you feel stuck in this moment, try to remember it's fleeting.

Good luck, and great job!

No advice, just sympathy and the following fact: it will be over in a few days. Good luck, and keep hydrated!
