Ann, you did an amazing job of laboring. I am utterly moved and impressed with your birth.

I agree that labor is just kinder on some bodies. Like a PP I only had very bad pain at the end when it was too late for any kind of pain relief.

I'm sorry you didn't get a VBAC (in any form). I was in a somewhat similar situation with this one and the decision to go ahead with a repeat c-sec because I wasn't making any progress (as in, 30 hours after my water broke I hadn't dilated at all). I hope your relationship with this new one continues to improve each day and that with time, the disappointment will fade.

Wow! He's a chubby little cutey! He makes my 8.5lb 7 week old look teeny! You did a great job even though your birth didn't go the way you'd planned. I know how hard it can be to deal with that even when you know it was for the best. I liked seeing the pics of your c-section. I had one also, under general anesthesia, but no one was there to take pictures.
