fluid filled blister on young toddler

I was just changing my 15 month olds diaper and felt a bump on the side of his thigh, I looked and it's a small (1cm across) fluid filled blister. What is this? How would he get a blister there? I don't know how it could be a burn (I think I would have noticed that happen). Maybe an allergy? But we were inside all day, what allergen would cause a random blister on the thigh? Is there anything else it could be?

I'm curious too. My dd had a blister on her nose today, sounds the same and I have no idea what may have caused this!

I've had blisters form after being bitten by fire ants.

I had blisters in my armpits once. It turned out to be a staph infection.
Although, I described it as blisters- and they looked like blisters to me, it wasn't until the doctor looked and said Oh! those are pustules! that the issue was diagnosed.

Sounds staph-ish to me too. We've had success with applying Tea Tree oil and keeping it covered with a band-aid until healed.

Could be molluscum contagiosum.

My DD had that. The little "blisters" were not red at all, just little kind of clear bumps.

Could also be the start of chicken pox.
