Another Medical Bill Question

We have a medical bill in collections and I have been trying to make payment arrangments. However, they keep saying the person that has my account is out. Ugg We owe about 3200 on it. Will the collection agency normally take a payment plan. We really don't have much money to towards it each month or are they going to make us pay it in large chunks. I can only put about $50 a month to it during the summer do to having two in chidcare in the summer.

In my experience, it's always been very hard to get a collection agency to take payments. They typically demand payment in full. But all you can do is call and ask!

The opposite was true for me. When I had a medical bill in collections the actual medical provider would not make payment arrangements with me, however, when it went to collections they were more than happy to let me make payments. They were really nice to me about it, which I was thankful for. That is probably not the norm though, sadly I agree, all you can do is call and ask! But you can't get blood from a stone, so if all you can do is make payments, that has to be better than nothing, right?
