homeschooling meeting questions

Thread Starter
I will be hosting a "homeschooling your child" meeting at my home for the attachment parenting group I belong to.

I am planning on printing up a work sheet of sorts for the parents who are attending, some are currently homeschooling others are just staring out or are considering it.

I was trying to think of questions for it and looking for help

Things like:

What are your goals for the year?

What are your child's goals?

What are the top things you would like your child to learn this year?

When you picture your homeschooling day what does it look like?

What are your concerns?

How does your child like to learn and how do you like to teach?

Will you be purchasing or putting together a curriculum?

What materials do you feel you need?

Anything you think would be good to discuss would be great, thanks mama's

How about a:

What is your "ideal" learning environment?

This would be a question to use to break down barriers of practicality. If money, time, jobs, space, etc. weren't an issue. . . how would you want to learn?

I'm doing one of these too...but I'm holding it at a public library (as most of the people I know here are already homeschooling). I plan on having handouts on the laws, the types of homeschooling...types of support groups, etc.

After the speakers introduce themselves and tell a bit of their stories, we'll get about to questions.
