Guys definitely can get UTI's, though, the 3 times I've personally known a guy to get a UTI there was something more serious going on that the UTI was the first sign of, it really is uncommon for a healthy male to get a UTI.

My (uncut) brother had a UTI when he was in grade school. My (circumcised) DH had one last year. I agree with others that they are not as common in men but they do happen. And if the antibiotics took care of the issue then it's not likely to be a prostate problem. Especially if they detected bacteria (i.e. INFECTION) in his URINE sample. It amazes me that doctors will flat out ignore test results in favor of an incorrect blanket statement they probably picked up while watching Grey's Anatomy during a study break in medical school.
