Results of my Mammogram UPDATE Post 8

I talked with my OB/GYN's office late this afternoon.

The Radiologist report says "Dialated Milk Duct with Moving Debris." The Radiologist suggest a follow up in 6 months. My OB/GYN suggest I talk with a Breast Specialist. I am going to call the one they recommend on Monday.

What the heck is this and why is it causing me pain?

Wow. What sort of meaningless test results in that you really can't tell if anything is wrong or not.

Glad you are going to a breast specialist.

Thats kind of what my husband said! He is like "Well we don't know anything, STILL!"

But if the Radiologsit wants me back in 6 months, it's not nothing. If it was nothing he would of said a year.

I am glad my OB/GYN wants me to go ahead and see a Breast Specialist. Let's get this over with and find out if it's truly nothing, or really is a wait and watch or if it's something we need to deal with now.

Oh boy that's really frustrating. I am glad that a) it wasn't immediately found to be something really bad, and b) your ob/gyn is referring you to a specialist. Sending major "nothing's wrong" vibes your way!!!

sorry you didn't get any real answers. I'm glad they are sending you to a specialist, hopefully you can finally get some answers there.

Update! Saw the Breast Specialist today

She feels (no pun intended LOL ) I have Fibrocystic Breast. She said take Vitamin E and Evening Primrose Oil, reduce caffeine (the caffeine part I am reading as inconclusive but we will see). She wants me back at the end of the August and to have another Ultrasound.

At this point, this is what she thinks I have. Off to read more about it...

But boy, the breast exam HURT on my left boobie! That was not fun. Sniff Sniff

I hope the EPO and vit E do the trick! (And good luck with the caffeine-reduction! Big hugs for you there. ) I'll be watching for another (happy!) update in August.

A bunch of years ago I remember my mom having cysts in her breasts (is this the same thing?). They told her to reduce caffeine. She did that, and they did go away. Pretty sure she didn't do vitamin E and EPO either.
