Who's done it? What have you found helpful? I'm thinking of putting in some ceiling hooks in a few key spots but not sure it'll be worth making the holes ...

Short laborers -- your cheap birth pool strategy?

We did this but I didn't end up using it at all. I set it up above where the pool was going so that I could have something to hold on to besides the side of the pool. Ended up using the side of the pool anyway

The assistant midwife used one to aid me during labor. She held it around her kneck while I used it during squatting. I found it very helpful.

Another good idea would be to tie a knot in the end and hang it over a closed door.

I have always thought that using one of those tension mounted pull up bars(that go in a doorway) would be good to use for hanging..if they can handle 200lb+ men doing pull ups, they should be able to handle laboring women
