Did anyone capsule their placenta?

If so, did you do it right away? Did you freeze it first?

I had thought you had to use fresh placenta to do this and dh tossed it in the freezer since the MW had said we needed to freeze it within 48 hrs. I couldn't pay someone to do it (150 bucks around here) so I would like to do it myself but is it too late now that its frozen?

I've been thinking about it but mine too is in the freezer.

I did, but mine wasn't frozen.
I don't think there should be a difference. I would just slice it up really thin and pop in the dehydrator.

You can do it after it's been frozen.

Or just use it like it is, in smoothies! (that's what I'm doing)

Mine was steamed with ginger and some other stuff, then dried. The recipe I used said it was how to prepare it according to the guidelines of chinese medicine. I imagine it would work fine after frozen, though... can't hurt to try, right?

I did. Both times I've done it it was frozen first. I do it myself so I can't really get around to it immediately, last time it took 2 months, this time 2 weeks. So yeah, I froze it both times until I was ready.
