Concerned, help please

Hi ladies,

I'm 5w5d today. I don't have an ovulation date (wasn't charting), but do know when we had sex and when my ewcm ended, so I'm either 5w4d or 5w5d. I got my first BFP on 12-13dpo (didn't suspect I was pregnant, so didn't test early). My previous pregnancies both had m/s start around 5 weeks, though it was intermittent from like 5-6 weeks, it was consistent. Then it would pretty quickly graduate to severe m/s and last until around 18w. I've had a few small bouts, but nothing newsworthy. I just don't feel pregnant.

I took another pregnancy test and the line is fairly dark, but not as dark as the test line. Today's test. At 25-26dpo wouldn't I have a darker measurement? These are the same test strips I used my last pregnancy, but I can't remember if I ever got as dark as the test line. Between this and lack of nausea, I'm concerned. Should I be?

Even when my hcg was well over 300 the test stripes I used still did not have as dark a line as the control. So that itself wouldnt concern me overmuch though when it happened to me it was scary since I had dealt with 2 m/c in the past.

I wouldn't worry based on the lack of m/s alone. Every pregnancy is different. I had zero m/s my first 4 and then had it awful this time. I wouldn't worry about the darkness of the line, either. It's clearly positive. Unless it gets extremely faint or goes negative, I wouldn't worry.

that looks pretty similar to my tests around that time... my IC tests took FOREVER to go from faint positive to darker than control line (im talking like 8 weeks along)

With my son I did not get morning sickness until 8 weeks along and then it was horrible. With my daughter it started at 5dpo and was off and on until about 12 weeks. With this baby it started at 5dpo and was very light (just felt like I overate) until 8/9 weeks when it hit so bad I spent half the day at the toilet.

My miscarriage? Very similar to with this one. Baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks and I did not miscarry until 13... and I was sick most of the time. Lack of morning sickness is not a sign that something is wrong. For some women it just means they are a lucky one!

No worries... and no more testing, you will just worry yourself over nothing because every test (even in the same batch) is a different sensitivity and will get a different amount of dark!

Congratulations!

I was going to say exactly what MaerynPearl said so well!

What a blessing to not have M/S (yet)!

Because it can be hard to trust just words:

This is a test I just took (I still have 4 in my closet leftover from the 50 I bought from saveontests.com when I was still TTC) It has been less than 10 minutes since I took it, but more than enough time for the dye to cross the test.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that I have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and in just 3 days will hit the halfway mark, 20 weeks! I feel kicks, I have heard the heartbeat dozens of times (I own a doppler since I have had such a late miscarriage in the past)

Even at 20 weeks your hcg levels are sky high! although they do tend to start dropping for some women around the middle of the second tri they are still in the thousands+ range... way higher than the 25miu that most early tests pick up.

All of that said... my test line is lighter than my control. So rest easy, that is nothing to worry about.

Thanks so much, ladies!

MaerynPearl, you are a sweetheart and I appreciate your thoughtfulness so much!!! Thanks so much for doing that! I feel a ton better

Interestingly enough, I've been nauseous for 4 hours
