need the name of a favorite children's book

I can not for the life of me remember the name of this book or it might be a series of books that i loved as a little girl. The books are about mice that live in the walls of a house...and there are lovely illustrations of the mice and their miniature furniture and clothing. Does anyone know the name of this book?

Your description reminds me a lot of The Borrowers, except they aren't mice. Could that be it?

Or could it be The Littles? They're not mice, but they have tails like mice.

Is it *The Brambly Hedge* series?

It was the Brambly hedge!! Thank you so much! I did also love the other two, and had forgotton. This was the one I was thinking of....I loved these books and haven't thought of them for years. Now that my little girl is loving books so much I have been thinking about books I can get for her that she will also love! thanks ladies
