Food inc. has traumatized me! - Page 2

Try curry. You can add meat(usually chicken) to his and just get him used to other tastes. Its a shame some people grow up like that. He was probably traumatized being forced to eat them. I find this is why many adults do not like certain foods.

Most standard meals Americans seem to eat(spaghetti, tacos etc.) are easy to switch but I struggle to deal with that too. Its just easy to fall back when you eat regularly with omnis. You can have meat available to for him to add to his. Lucky for me the omnis I have lived with for the most part did eat lots of veggies too.

I grated veggies into a risotto(rice with spaghetti sauce) for a very picky toddler boy I sat for his mom was shocked when I said he had carrots. LOL hehe sneaky. My own daughter can't get enough of veggies especially broccoli her most favorite food ever as she says.

Me, too! I went veg years ago after reading about how chickens are raised, but I wasn't healthy and went back to meat after a few years. Now that I'm married to a man who was raised on meat for every lunch & dinner, I've been buying conventionally-raised meat and poultry as cheaply as I can. Then we watched the movie together....

I'm phasing out meat slowly, and only buying locally- and naturally-raised meats. We have a lady who sells eggs from her organically-raised free range chickens, and found a few cattle farms within 50 miles who raise grass-fed free range beef. I'm still looking for chickens, but in the meantime at least I can get natural ones from Trader Joe's. I'm having a hard time with the prices, but it actually helps b/c I'll skip the meat at dinner and only cook 1 chicken breast for DH and DS to share. So the money comes out about even, and I'm eating less meat!
