ANOTHER name thread...

so help me out Mamas! This little one, we are quite sure has found a name but I am on the search for a middle name and always seem to come back to the same few but none 'fit' him or flow well.
His name is Ezekiel, will be "Zeke' mostly . All of our dc have Hebrew first names and a nature middle name. It has just worked out that way.
So ... Ezekiel/Zeke ________ K (one syllable last name beginning with K) which threw a wrench in the 'Sky' mn~ which is what I seem to always come back to. Too many kkkkkk sounds~ iykwim.

So hit me with suggestions~ I always jump in the name threads but never actually posted one of my own.
I have "ocean' in my hearst too as it is my favorite place on earth~ to be by the sea~ and it is my 'place' while in laborland ... any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I really like Ocean. We considered it briefly for a first name. I think if that is where your heart is than there is no need to keep searching. Ezekiel Ocean sounds good together too. No conflicting sounds. Good name.

interesting coincidence--as you can see by my signature, i have similar criteria. so my vote, obviously, would be River.

other mn's i've thought of:

Ash
Oakley (or Oak)
Cedar
Aspen
Moon

i do love Ocean, and want Oceana for a girl, but dh's currently a no go.

on second thought, i think Sky is perfect. when you say his full name, you're not going to be saying it w/ his nn, Zeke, it'll always be Ezekiel mn ln, and Ezekiel Sky, imo, sound perfect together. (probably even w/ your k last name, too) just my $.02.

What about Ezekiel Rowan K?

Are you an environmentalist? I love the name Muir, and it means "sea" in Scottish Gaelic : http://www.behindthename.com/name/muir

I don't see it on many name lists, but it has a wonderful sound, a great meaning, and an incredible namesake.

These are also have great sea/ocean meanings:
Morgan
Murdoch
Llyr/Lear
Mariner (English for "of the sea"...the older name would be Marinus)
Dylan/Dillon

Ezekiel Mariner
Ezekiel Muir
Ezekiel Llyr

I like those.

Thanks for the responses all!!
RedOak~ yes, I am very familiar with John Muir~ it's funny you posted that as Muir was a thought as well, my maternal grandfather was born in Scot. and much of our family carries Gaelic names. Your suggestions were wonderful! As I was thinking of 'meaning of' too.

Anyone else??

Also chiming in that I love the name Ezekial Sky. I don't like the sound of Zeke Sky, but I don't think you'd say it that way, because you aren't saying his full name. And I like that you keep coming back to it. Good wishes!
