DP and I agreed to use the service for this LO. I thought it was kind of silly because I washed diapers with my DD, but he has a minor hang-up about diapers in our wash machine (and doesn't yet understand that poop will likely be on clothes too!). Plus, he really is uptight about the wash-dry-put away cycle- I'm not great at the put-away part, and really can't promise to get better. So it seemed like the service was an okay compromise and would help keep everyone happy.
The service came by and dropped off diapers last week- and I'm not really excited about them. They are not soft, likely because of the washing process. And they aren't very quilty either- not like the prefolds I used with DD. I've bought cloth wipes and the service said they would launder them, but now I'm actually wondering about having them do that too! They are so soft right now!
I think I'm just venting here. I don't see an easy, everyone-is-happy solution right now. We'll try the service diapers and see how it works out. Plenty of folks I know are happy with them. I was just surprised that they were so rough and thin...
