G-Diapers? Leakers?

I am going to have to find an alternative to cloth for a long drive we have coming up. I don't have enough cloth diapers to get us more than half the way there. I was about to order some 7th Generation diapers and remembered that the G-Diapers have disposable inserts. I have seen some reviews that says they aren't so good and leak though.

What do you think?

My sister uses them and she loves them! I loved them too, I babysat and helped her out for a few weeks in March. She is 18 month old, in a size medium. And she hasn't had any leaks or problems with them. She's been using them for almost a year now and has wonderful things to say about them!

Are you both using the washable or the disposable liners? I should have clarified that I was curious about the disposable ones. Someone mentioned that it may be those with babes that have chunky thighs that are having troubles. Do your little ones have chunky thighs?

i have tried using g-diapers a few times (both the cloth inserts at home, and the disposable inserts when away). they have leaked almost every time. i hope that it is because my DS is in the bottom of the weight range of the size mediums i have, and that maybe he will grow into them. i much prefer the grobaby diapers for a cloth to sposie option. never had a leak with those.

When I use gdiaper disposable refills, I use two at a time, which seems to work better for leak prevention.

good luck!

Also have had leaking with gdiapers and it did seem to be worse when I had my son in the carseat for longer-than-normal periods. I never tried two refills simultaneously, but maybe worth a try? They're a great concept, but need some more work on leak prevention!
