Poop Question....19.5 week old...allergies now?

Quick question-

My son is 19.5 weeks old and is EBF...he is gaining weight well, and has no health issues that we know of (according to his doc).

Ok- now here is the question.. can he develop a food allergy or dairy sensitivity this late? I ask, because he poops about once a day (sometimes he skips a day, but its rare)- and about one time per week he has a large green mucous stool. The rest of the time he stool is the normal yellow/orange....although it seems as he grows that it is less "sweet smelling" (you know what I mean?)- and a little more foul smelling. He is also very gassy, and has always been gassy (lots of burps, etc.)-- but it doesn't seem to bother him anymore.

I eat a little dairy every day, and I avoid tomatoes and citrus and a few other things that seemed to have bothered him in the past. I do not have days where I ingest large amount of dairy, or other "offending" foods-- so I have no idea what triggers the green mucous stool???

His doc says to not try and figure it out, and don't worry about it....but I would lvoe some feedback from others....

Thanks ladies!

Have you tried keeping a food diary? I had a hard time figuring out one of DD's allergens because I didn't eat it very often (corn). It also wasn't an immediate reaction so it took some time for me to figure out. For instance, if i had popcorn one night she wouldn't show any problems. If the next day I also ate some corn tortillas it was too much for her system.

I would stay away from dairy products for 2 weeks and watch his poop.
