Help me plan a turkey dinner

I was gifted with a turkey and I have NEVER made a turkey dinner! I would like to make the traditional mashed potatoes and stuffing, but besides that I don't have any typical family recipes that go along with the turkey dinner.

So....if you were planning a turkey dinner, what would be on your menu?

And ftr, we are pretty much a whole foods cooking family.

When my family has me do Thanksgiving, here is how I always do my turkey dinner!

turkey and gravy
mashed potatoes (with lots of butter and cream, sometimes with boursin cheese)
stuffing (cooked separately from the bird, usually with apples and sausage in it)
steamed green beans with butter and almonds
green salad with colorful veggies in it and vinaigrette dressing
cranberry relish or apple compote
loaf of crusty bread or cornbread with butter

If it was just a nice weekend dinner instead of a FEAST I'd probably do the turkey, potatoes and green beans and maybe add the fruit if I was feeling ambitious.

If it's not a thanksgiving dinner, just a turkey feast, I'd do:

roast turkey
fresh biscuits/bread
the silver palate's amazing stuffing (I think it's their regular stuffing? it's bread, cornbread, sausage, and sage-y spices. I usually use chicken apple)
mashed potatoes (or more likely, mashed sweet potatos, because mashed potatoes are good, mashed sweet potatoes are amazing. with lots of butter, milk and cream)
gravy.
maybe a seasonal green veggie.

In the late fall/winter we do turkey, stuffing, green beans, bread, mashed red potatoes, cranberries. In spring, though, I'd do a feast including potatoes, asparagus, salad, radishes, strawberries and rhubarb.

For Christmas we had (it was just the 3 of us - DD was only 1 though so we had a LOT of leftovers):

Roasted Turkey - butter stuffed under breast skin to keep it moist
Bread stuffing with turkey liver, onions, bacon, garlic, sage (I think). I cook it in the bird.
Brussels Sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts
Roast Potatoes, Beets, Sweet Potatoes (in lard)
Pan Gravy
I think we also had another green veggie, can't remember what

Christmas Pudding and Brandy Butter (but I suppose you probably won't have that right now!)
