how many eggs do you eat in a week?

we are lucky to get farm-fresh pastured eggs delivered to us and I order 2 dz a week for our family of 4. dh only has 2-4 eggs per week here since he eats most meals out. but still, i usually have to pick up another dozen.

so i'm thinking of just getting 3 dz from the farm, basically for me and dd1 who is 4 and dd2 who is almost 2.

what do you think and how much is too much?

We're a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids under 3) and we go through 4-6 dozen a week I consider them to be a primary protein source (we eat a lot of pastured meat too but eggs are just so darn versatile).

We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 7-year-olds), and we go through at least three dozen a week.

We're a family of 4, and we go through a dozen every couple of days. Like dogmom, we consider them an awesome versatile affordable protein source! No such thing as too many eggs, I sometimes eat 4 or 5 a day. (Most days 2 or 3)

For a while, we (2 adults, 5yo, 3yo) were eating about 5 dozen a week, but lately it's been closer to 2 doz/wk. But hard-boiled eggs are better snack food than I've been coming up with lately, so I think we're going to trend back closer to the 4 doz/wk range.

We're a family of 3 (2 adults, one 4 yr old) and get 3 dozen pasture eggs a week. We might have a few extra one week, not enough the next. I'm GF/CF and find myself eating 2-3 eggs at least 1 meal a day--can't beat the nutrition/cost (even for expensive pasture eggs!)

the two of us go through about 1-1.5 dozen a week.

I would say easily 3 doz, sometimes 4! We do use maybe a half doz in baking sometimes but not always. We are 2 adults and 1 two year old.

Eggs are amazing!

We're five people here. We eat easily three dozen in a week. Probably more.

The kids and I each eat an egg for breakfast every day. That's 28. DH probably has one for breakfast three or four days a week. Then I used plenty in cooking-- in sauces, baked goods, etc. Plus I work part time at night and am too tired to cook much when I get home, and usually make an omelette for myself.

We got through about 3 dozen a week. They're so easy and DS loves them!

We are a grain free family of 6 (baby isn't eating solids yet though). We usually have 5-6 doz a week, although we could probably even eat more Our baking requires a lot of eggs and we eat eggs for breakfast and/or lunch most days of the week. We eat plenty of pastured meat for dinners, but eggs are just much more affordable than extra meat. My 4yo and almost 6yo are BIG eaters.

my daughter (2.5) and I eat at least two-three dozen a week.

From a TF perspective, can you have "too much" eggs? I was wondering this the other day. I know traditional doctors would cringe..
We are up to 8-10 dozen for a 2-week period - 2 adults, 1 12 yo boy and and 8 yo boy

Family of 3 here, although the baby is not yet interested in eggs... DH and I alone go through about 3 dozen/week. Some weeks more, if I'm baking.

We are also two adults and one 2 year old, and go through 3 dozen a week minimum. They're just such an affordable and HIGH QUALITY protein source! Plus we don't do a ton of grains, so breakfast is often just protein and vegetables. Now that spring has hit, everyone I know who raises chickens is calling me begging me to take eggs so we'll probably bump it up to at least 4 doz a week for a while. Time for loads of deviled eggs!

Eggs, like everything, have a season so maybe when the hens are molting it's a notice to ease off for a while?

We eat 3 dozen a week (3 of us in the family), and we don't eat any when the days are dark and the hens are no longer producing reliably in our valley.

Our family of 6 (7, but the baby doesn't eat any) uses about 4 or 5 dozen per week. We can use more if we have them. If I have an extra dozen or two, I will hardboil them for us to use as snacks.
