I just watched said movie.
As I've been interested in this topic for the past ca. 20 years there weren't any really big surprises, only frustration.
I was appalled that a child could die because of what is fed to cattle.
It was difficult to see that the prophecies of some "eco-hippies" (or whatever they were titled to make them look and sound ridiculous) during the 80s turned out to be true, especially in the field of genetical engineering.
The hard part for me as an expat is that I'm in a way part of that "system". My DH is a professional engineer (automotive industry), we're in China as German expats. Part of what I'm buying here has literally been shipped half around the globe - talk about "comfort food". So, at times I feel like a total hypocrite. Still, I did and I'm still doing a few things right (I hope!).
What were your thoughts?

Is it crazy that I have to work hard to find locally grown garlic?
It's a crazy world.
