ACV and damaged gut - bad idea?

I've taken ACV for a year now, but got off track recently. I have Celiac Disease and the damaged intestinal lining that comes with that. Last night, I took ACV for the first time in a week or two and shortly after had really bad abdominal pain. Really bad. Then, this morning, I woke up disoriented and dizzy. Not normal for me at all.
I always assumed ACV would help with healing the gut, but is it possible that it's just too harsh??
It's such great stuff, I hate to quit taking it, but maybe I should...thoughts?

DH has intestinal inflammation issues (and problems with gluten too). He says that vinegar just doesn't agree with him so he avoids it. So, yes likely it's too harsh for you. Perhaps if you can get the inflammation healed up, then try it again. You could also have a sensitivity to apples (as I do). There is a coconut vinegar that tastes very much like what I remember ACV tasting like. You could try that and see if it's the apple or just any vinegar that's an issue.
